Gangy Can Opener

The Japanese Gangy can opener is a restaurant favorite that deserves wider recognition. Available in Size 100 (small) and Size 300 (large), it works on a similar principle to the military P-38 opener but is significantly easier and more comfortable to use. Once you develop the technique, it's faster than most crank-style openers, easier on your wrists, and can handle cans that many mounted openers struggle with. Slim enough to slip into a knife bag or apron pocket, it's an inexpensive tool I reach for constantly and genuinely enjoy using.
